Trump Administration Removes Four Media Outlets from the Pentagon
President Donald Trump's administration is relocating four media offices, including The New York Times, from the Pentagon, the U.S. defense headquarters. This decision, announced last Friday, is part of a strategy to allocate space for other institutions.

According to the 'New Annual Media Rotation Program,' the Trump administration will also remove National Public Radio (NPR), NBC News (owned by Comcast Corporation), and Politico. These outlets must vacate their offices by February 14.
In their place, the Pentagon will welcome new offices for the New York Post, One America News Network, Breitbart News Network, and HuffPost News.
In response, an NBC News spokeswoman expressed disappointment over the decision, stating, "For decades we have been broadcasting news from the Pentagon. This cancellation of access will significantly hinder our ability to report on matters of national public interest." She emphasized their commitment to honest reporting moving forward.
The New York Times criticized the move, asserting that it is "clearly not in the public interest" and reaffirmed its dedication to impartial news coverage.
NPR has called on the Department of Defense to increase media space at the Pentagon to ensure equal access for all outlets. Additionally, Politico's senior managing editor, Anita Kumar, expressed the organization's discomfort with the decision in a note to staff.
