In the third phase, the agitators took a stand at Shahbag intersection to demand the appointment of 6,531 people for the post of government primary school assistant teachers in Dhaka and Chittagong divisions.

At two o'clock on Monday, the police took action on the protestors! Even then they don't back down! The excitement is created! Agitators gathered at Shahbagh junction around 1 o'clock demanding immediate recruitment. Traffic at Shahbagh junction was blocked due to this blockade!

Eyewitnesses said, "The agitators were standing in front of the Shahbagh National Museum since morning under the banner of the group of assistant teachers (Dhaka and Chittagong division) recommended by the government primary schools. "

A team of police tried to dislodge the protestors from the former junction around 2 am, first using batons to dislodge them and when that failed, the police later used water-cooled sound grenades.

On behalf of the agitators, it is said that the notification of the third phase was published on June 14, 2023, the written examination was held on March 29, 2024, the results of the written examination were published on April 21st of the same year, the viva was completed on June 12, the results were published on October 31 with the permission of the Ministry of Law and Ministry of Public Administration. The High Court canceled the recruitment process of 6531 people who passed the final result in Dhaka and Chittagong in the third division on February 6. It is also said that they have been socially humiliated due to not being able to join the work even after receiving the recommendation, they are mentally broken and living the life of humanity, their question is how much more patience should they have? And will suffer emotional pain? Now they are supposed to stay at their workplaces, while they have to stay in the streets, their question is who will take this responsibility? Who will they get justice? Now demanding their lives, they want to join the work very quickly.

The use of batons, water cannons and sound grenades on Shahbagh protesters reflects a deep political crisis in Bangladesh. These events bring to the fore the basic principles of human rights, justice and peaceful protest. The Shahbagh movement is writing a new chapter in the fight for human rights and justice, paving the way for further discussions in the future.
